About Course

This basic course is designed to teach beginning pipefitters and fitters already in the field. It is recommended that interested participants have solid basic math skills. The ability to convert fractions; read and calculate accurate measurements is essential to pipefitting.

Total Cost includes Training & Supplies: 

Supplies/Materials, Work Gloves, 16’ Measurement Tape, Oxy/Act, Tools, Welding Machine/Welder, Pipefitters Blue Book

Students will need to provide their own work boots, work clothes (jeans and long sleeve welding shirt).

Week 1
Safety, oxy/fuel cutting. Introduction to pipefitting measurement, Basic math skills.

Week 2-3
Understanding the Pipefitting Blue Book, Proper reading of a tape measure, Knowing the different pipe fittings.

Week 4-5
Isometric sketch/Take off from fittings to get pipe cut length. Cut and bevel pipe.

Week 6
Fit and tack pipe to fittings to be welded and review.
